Saadiyat Grove is expected to open in Q4 2026. In an 18 September 2026 announcement, Aldar outlined the retail, dining, wellness and business spaces planned for its mixed-use destination in Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Cultural District. The opening date is a target, and individual venues may open on different schedules.

Saadiyat Grove at a glance

  • Developer: Aldar.
  • Location: Saadiyat Cultural District, Abu Dhabi.
  • Planned opening: Q4 2026 for the lifestyle destination.
  • Mix: luxury retail, restaurants, cultural spaces, wellness, offices, hotels and residences.
  • Food destination: Abu Dhabi's first Time Out Market, planned with 16 kitchens.

Where is Saadiyat Grove?

Saadiyat Grove sits within Saadiyat Island, near Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi. Aldar describes the wider destination as covering one square mile. For a broader look at its homes and location, see our Saadiyat Grove project overview.

Which shops and restaurants are planned?

Aldar's announced retail names include Cartier, Dior, FENDI, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co, Valentino, BVLGARI and Van Cleef & Arpels, among others. Japanese fashion and lifestyle retailer BEAMS is also slated for its first UAE location at the destination.

On the dining side, the announced concepts include Alain Ducasse Café, Monsieur Paul, Kokoro Handroll Bar and Momofuku. Aldar also named Abu Dhabi's first Time Out Market, with 16 kitchens, a Time Out Café, beverage concepts and entertainment. These are announced tenants and concepts; visitors should check each venue's opening date before making plans.

More than a shopping destination

The masterplan also includes Saadiyat Forum, a proposed 7,000 sq m venue for events and collaborations, plus a cinema concept. Aldar outlined 25,000 sq m of premium office space across four Grade A buildings and a 2,200 sq m executive club. The announced wellness offer includes a BXR gym, a wellness centre and a longevity clinic.

For residents, Aldar named Louvre Abu Dhabi Residences, Baccarat Residences Saadiyat and The Arthouse among the communities connected to the destination. It said more than 1,000 homes are expected to be handed over in the coming months. That is a developer projection, not a confirmed handover date for any individual home.

What does the announcement mean for property buyers?

The new details make the planned amenity mix clearer for buyers comparing homes in the Cultural District: dining, retail, workplaces and wellness are intended to sit close to the museums and residences. They do not, by themselves, establish future sale prices, rental yields or capital growth. Buyers should check the exact building, handover timetable, service charges and current comparable transactions before making a decision.
